Vopaq is a leader in BPO, dedicated to maintaining financial excellence and optimizing our cost management strategies. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team and help us drive profitability through precise cost analysis and management.

Job Description:

As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing cost data to ensure accurate financial reporting and help guide decision-making on cost control, budgeting, and overall financial performance. Your role will involve close collaboration with the finance team and various departments to ensure cost efficiency across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze production and operational costs and prepare cost reports for management.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs to standard costs, explaining discrepancies.
• Develop and monitor inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock valuations.
• Review and improve cost control procedures and processes to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare and monitor cost forecasts and budgets in line with company goals.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring accurate allocation of costs.
• Assist with cost audits and ensure compliance with internal and external cost regulations.
• Collaborate with the production and operations teams to understand cost drivers and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Maintain and reconcile the cost accounting ledger, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.

Experience Required:

• 3+ years of experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or a related industry.
• Proven experience with cost analysis, budget planning, and variance reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory management, standard costing, and cost auditing practices.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
